路透7月23日 - 派拉蒙全球PARA.O周三表示，该公司已将与《南方公园》的创作者特雷-帕克（Trey Parker）和马特-斯通（Matt Stone）的合作关系延长了五年。
据《洛杉矶时报》周二报导，根据新协议，派拉蒙将向由该媒体巨头和帕克县共同拥有的南方公园数字工作室支付超过 12.5 亿美元的费用，使其跻身电视史上最富有的交易之列。
这一消息是在喜剧中心（Comedy Central）播出的《南方公园》第 27 季首播之后宣布的。
根据协议，派拉蒙将在五季中播出 50 集新剧。这些剧集将在喜剧中心首播，次日在 Paramount+ 上播放。
在经过一段时间的合同纠纷后，派拉蒙+ 重新获得了国际流媒体播放权。
该协议结束了派拉蒙与该剧主创之间旷日持久的谈判，主创此前曾起诉派拉蒙新任总裁杰夫-谢尔（Jeff Shell），指控他干扰了华纳兄弟发现WBD.O和 Netflix NFLX.O的竞争谈判。
据报导，正在收购派拉蒙的 Skydance 领导层反对早先提出的十年内价值 30 亿美元的条款，这使得谈判变得更加复杂。
