KBR (KBR) is set to secure an $8 billion contract from Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund Danantara to build 17 modular refineries, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing two sources familiar with the matter.
The planned agreement was detailed in a presentation reviewed by Reuters and discussed by Economic Minister Airlangga Hartarto during a closed-door briefing, the news outlet reported.
The refinery contract reportedly forms part of a broader trade agreement with the US that reduced proposed tariffs from 32% to 19%.
Also included is a potential $2 billion investment by Indorama for blue ammonia production in Louisiana, though the project reportedly depends on tax credits, Reuters reported.
KBR did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
