This acquisition involves a 2 Megawatt Tier II/III data center in Perth, Australia, enhancing Carrier Connect's presence in the Asia-Pacific region and supporting its international expansion strategy. The purchase price totaled AUD $2.5 million, with payments structured as AUD $200,000 in cash at closing, AUD $100,000 payable six months post-closing, and AUD $2.2 million under a secured vendor financing arrangement. The acquisition adds recurring revenue and a fully operational data center capable of generating significant revenue. Mark Binns, CEO of Carrier Connect, highlighted the acquisition as a pivotal step in building a global network of data centers, enhancing service capabilities for AI companies and co-location enterprises.
