Hong Kong is no longer offering two parcels of land in the New Territories region, and is repurposing them for other projects instead, the South China Morning Post reported Monday.
Authorities plan to pass on a three-hectare site in Yuen Long to the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation to build a microelectronics ecosystem, and repurpose an eight-hectare plot in Hung Shui Kiu to establish a company to run an industrial estate in the area.
The sites were initially earmarked for multi-storey buildings, the report said.
