AeroVironment Inc., in collaboration with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, has unveiled a concept for next-generation Mars Helicopters, known as Skyfall. The mission aims to enhance Mars exploration and assist in the preparation for human landing on the red planet. While no specific scientific research results have been announced at this time, the project is focused on delivering actionable aerial data to aid future crewed missions and support the planetary science community's search for evidence of past life on Mars. The concept, leveraging AV's expertise and components from the Ingenuity program, is being developed with an anticipated launch by 2028.
