The lira TRYTOM=D3 was quoted at 40.5515 against the U.S. dollar at Friday's close.
The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 0.43% lower at 10,642.60 points on Friday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
Global stocks rose and the euro firmed on Monday after a trade agreement between the United States and the EU lifted sentiment and provided some clarity in a week of key policy meetings by the Federal Reserve and the Bank of Japan.
ERDOGAN PROGRAMME
President Tayyip Erdogan will chair a meeting of his cabinet of ministers in Ankara. (1100 GMT)
MAIN OPPOSITION
Ozgur Ozel, head of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), will chair a meeting of his party's central executive committee. (1030 GMT)
LABOUR MINISTER
Labour Minister Vedat Isikhan will attend a preparatory meeting as part of the 2026-2027 collective bargaining agreement talks. (0800 GMT)
INFLATION EXPECTATIONS
Turkish central bank will announce the results of inflation expectations by sector. (0700 GMT)
WILDFIRES
Firefighters battled wildfires across Turkey on Sunday amid a searing Mediterranean heat-wave, with authorities evacuating more than 3,600 people from settlements in two provinces.
ECONOMY
Turkey's economy has returned to a "positive cycle" after market turbulence in March, Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said on Sunday.
MOODY'S
Credit ratings agency Moody's on Friday upgraded Turkey's rating to "Ba3" from "B1," citing improving monetary policy credibility, easing inflation and reduced economic imbalances.
ISRAEL-PALESTINE
Dozens of ministers will gather at the United Nations on Monday for a delayed conference to work toward a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians, but the U.S. and Israel are boycotting the event.
