受到气候变化影响，全球可可主产区加纳和科特迪瓦近年来持续歉收，造成全球可可期货价格过去两年连续大涨。目前可可价格虽较峰值有所下降，但仍处于高位，而可可涨价也直接影响了巧克力生产成本，近期美国多个巧克力主流品牌宣布提价。

国际可可组织公布的伦敦和纽约日均价格显示，本周三，可可期货价格为每吨7380美元。这一数字比去年12月11984美元的峰值有所下降，但比两年前高出121%。作为制作巧克力的核心原料，可可价格上涨直接影响了巧克力生产成本。

根据消费品及服务市场研究机构尼尔森IQ的数据，2021年7月，美国巧克力棒的平均单价为2.43美元。截至上周，这一价格为3.45美元，上涨了41%。

近期，雀巢、费列罗、好时等巧克力巨头纷纷宣布涨价。美国巧克力生产商好时公司22日表示，已告知零售商，将上调旗下巧克力产品的平均价格，涨幅或达到两位数。好时公司表示，此次提价与美国政府关税或贸易政策无关。

此外，市场也对关税威胁感到担忧。科特迪瓦可可产量全球第一。美国总统特朗普在4月威胁要对来自科特迪瓦的可可和其他产品征收21%的关税，但随后暂停了关税的实施。美国糖果协会要求特朗普政府保护可可免受关税影响。该组织称，美国每年进口近44亿美元的巧克力、可可和糖果，该协会的成员每年出口近20亿美元美国制造的巧克力和糖果。
