IT之家 7 月 26 日消息，在本周的财报电话会议上，特斯拉 CEO 埃隆・马斯克暗示，特斯拉 Robotaxi 服务计划扩展到旧金山湾区和美国其他市场，但现在似乎遇到了一些麻烦。

加州公共事业委员会（CPUC）周五确认，特斯拉并未申请在该州运营自动驾驶客运服务所需的必要授权。

加州公共事业委员会战略媒体公关总监 Terrie Prosper 表示，“特斯拉未获得加州公共事业委员会批准，无法向客户提供自动驾驶客运服务（无论有无驾驶员、有偿或无偿）。”

IT之家注：尽管特斯拉持有 TCP 许可，但该授权仅允许其使用传统车辆，而非自动驾驶车辆，只能由人类驾驶员提供包车服务，而无法用于自动驾驶车辆（AV），即便有安全员在场也不行。

Prosper 表示，“特斯拉并未持有加州公共事业委员会颁发的带驾驶员自动驾驶试点许可，因此无法在客运服务中使用带驾驶员的自动驾驶车辆，简而言之，特斯拉不得用自动驾驶车辆测试或载客运营。”

加州公共事业委员会还确认，特斯拉于 7 月 24 日通知该机构，打算扩大其 TCP 许可下的运营范围，将员工亲友及部分公众纳入服务对象，并将地理围栏扩大至整个湾区，但这一扩张仅能在非自动驾驶车辆中进行，符合其 CPUC 颁发的 TCP 许可要求。
