Tesla Shares Rise Premarket After Trump, EU Reach Tariff Deal -- Market Talk

0840 GMT - Tesla shares edge higher Monday premarket after President Trump said he reached a trade agreement with the European Union. Trump said the U.S. would set a baseline tariff of 15% for European goods, including automobiles. Washington had earlier put a 10% baseline tariff on most EU goods exported to the U.S., as well as a 25% tariff on its auto industry. Tesla shares are up 1.8% at $321.68 Monday premarket. The company has a factory in Germany that produces hundreds of thousands of Model Y vehicles and millions of battery cells. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
