Bank of China Issues 30 Billion Yuan Bonds

Bank of China (SHA:601988, HKG:3988) issued 30 billion yuan of bonds, according to a Friday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

The coupon is 1.97% in the first five years, adjustable every five years, the filing said.

The issuance is part of a 450 billion-yuan offering.

Proceeds from the issuance will be used to supplement Bank of China's other Tier 1 capital, the filing said.
