路透7月25日 - 欧盟药品监管机构建议批准吉利德科学公司（Gilead Sciences）的GILD.O来那卡韦（lenacapavir）用于预防成人和青少年感染艾滋病，该药物每年注射两次。
该药物将成为欧盟首个每年注射两次的艾滋病预防药物，可降低高危成人和青少年通过性途径感染HIV-1的风险。
来那卡韦提供了一种长效药物，可替代每日口服药和其他短效药物，尤其有助于那些难以坚持每日服药、被污名化或难以获得医疗保健服务的人对疾病的关键反应。
这一决定是在该疗法在美国获得监管部门批准一个多月后做出的，该疗法在美国的品牌为Yeztugo。
本月早些时候，世界卫生组织推荐将该疗法作为预防艾滋病感染的工具。
欧洲药品管理局人类药品委员会的任何建议都必须得到欧盟执委会的正式批准，而欧盟执委会通常会在监管机构作出决定后批准。
该公司表示，欧盟执委会有望在今年晚些时候就该药做出决定。
吉利德公司说，如果获得批准，来那卡韦在欧盟的市场独占期将延长一年，并将被命名为Yeytuo。
