BlockBeats 消息，7 月 27 日，Coinbase 主管 Conor Grogan 发文表示，根据其统计数据，至少有 913,111 枚 ETH 因用户误操作而永久丢失，相当于 ETH 供应量的 0.76% 以上，价值约 34.3 亿美元。如果叠加 EIP-1559 销毁的 ETH（530 万枚），那么有史以来所有 ETH 的 5% 以上（234.2 亿美元）已被永久销毁。

Conor Grogan 补充到，34.3 亿美元的数字大大低于实际丢失/无法访问的 ETH 数量，仅涵盖了以太坊被永久锁定的情况，例如它不涵盖所有丢失的私钥或被遗忘的 Genesis 钱包等，统计来源于各种公开报告和查询。
