IT之家 7 月 25 日消息，英特尔 CEO 陈立武当地时间昨日在一份内部信中称英特尔正在数据中心（处理器）领域重新引入超线程 / 同步多线程 (SMT) 技术。但目前的相关产品中没有契合“要重新引入 SMT”这一表述的类型，令人感到费解。
消息人士 @SquashBionic 在 X 平台上以爆料的形式对这一问题作出了解释，指英特尔的下一代至强性能核处理器（至强 7000P）"Diamond Rapids" 就是陈立武暗示的“取消超线程”型号。
英特尔的性能核至强处理器传统上均支持同步多线程。虽然这项技术在客户端领域的价值由于混合架构与能效核的加入已大幅下降，但在企业应用中仍相当重要，尤其是在计算 vCPU 时考虑超线程的云服务领域。
"Diamond Rapids" 将采用与消费级 "Nova Lake" 处理器同代的 "Panther Cove" 微架构，支持扩展到 256 核心，物理核心数量看齐 AMD "Zen 6" EPYC "Venice"、是上代 "Granite Rapids" 最高端型号至强 6980P 的两倍。
