Brown-Forman (BF.A/BF.B) said late Thursday that Marshall B. Farrer was elected to the board as chairman.
Farrer succeeds Campbell P. Brown, who decided to step down, according to a statement.
The company also maintained its quarterly dividend at $0.2265 per share, payable Oct. 1 to holders of record on Sept. 3.
