7月26日晚，北京密云西北部特大暴雨，引发洪水和山体滑坡，多个村庄受灾。冯家峪、不老屯、石城等多个村庄受灾严重，部分村子的道路、电力、通讯受到影响。目前，中国电信在密云、怀柔、延庆所有行政村均已实现通联，在其他各区也按照预案做好充分准备，随时应对可能发生的险情。

灾情发生后，中国电信立即启动应急响应预案，全力保障救灾指挥通信和受灾群众基本公众通信。7月26日22:30，中国电信北京公司迅速集结密云应急保障先锋队，携带应急抢险设备第一时间奔赴冯家峪镇和石城镇四合堂等地抢险救援。

经摸排，中国电信在北京地区的主要骨干光缆运行正常，部分基站断站，中国电信北京公司应急保障团队争分夺秒，连夜抢修恢复通信。

截至7月27日15点，中国电信累计派出保障人员167人次，投入3辆卫星通信车，应急抢修车30辆，卫星背包站7部，天通猫14个，卫星电话20部，发电油机18台，抽水泵22台，全力保障救灾指挥通信和受灾群众基本公众通信。
