智通财经APP获悉，据报道，亚马逊(AMZN.US)因未能确保电力供应而取消了在爱尔兰都柏林建设工厂的计划。

爱尔兰的经济很大程度上依赖于外国企业的投资，尤其是来自美国的投资。这些投资增加了爱尔兰政府的企业税收收入，为政府提供了大量的财政资源。
据报道，亚马逊云计算服务平台AWS曾计划建设用于数据中心的高科技服务器机架生产工厂，但由于电力网络受到限制，该计划被放弃。该工厂原本将雇佣约500名员工。
由于电力短缺，监管机构对爱尔兰部分地区的新数据中心实施了限制。
据报道，AWS表示对无法继续推进该项目感到“失望”。该公司希望在爱尔兰进行其他投资，“如果条件允许的话。”
