1002 ET - JPMorgan analysts are optimistic about Nike's turnaround. The sportswear company recently reaffirmed that efforts to clear out aged inventory and return to sales growth are on track, expecting to return to "a healthy and clean marketplace by the end of 1H26," the analysts say in a research note. At the same time, wholesale partners are boosting orders, with recent fieldwork showing that spring/summer '26 orderbooks are likely to build upon positive holiday '25 orderbook growth. Nike is leaning into its heritage of performance-based products, a move the analysts say should create a favorable halo for its so-called classic franchises, as well as support higher average selling prices across its portfolio of products. JPMorgan upgrades Nike to overweight from neutral and raises its price target to $93 from $64. Nike rises 3%. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
