Procept Shares Fall After CEO Retirement News

Procept BioRobotics (PRCT) shares were down more than 7% in recent Friday trading, a day after the company said Reza Zadno, its president, chief executive and director, will retire Sept. 1.

The surgical robotics company said that Larry Wood will succeed Zadno as president and CEO, starting Sept. 2.

Wood is joining from Edwards, where he has served as corporate vice president and group president, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement and Surgical Structural Heart, since 2023, it said.

Procept also pre-announced its Q2 revenue of about $79.2 million. Analysts expected $76.6 million in a Factset poll.

The company said it will report its Q2 results Aug. 6.
