Amrep Stock Falls Amid Lower FY Revenue

Shares of Amrep declined after the company logged lower revenue in its latest fiscal year.

The stock fell 6.4% to $22.21 in after-hours trading on Friday. Shares have fallen 24% year to date through market close.

The real estate developer on Friday posted a profit of $12.7 million, or $2.37 a share, for the 12 months ended April 30, compared with $6.7 million, or $1.25 a share, a year earlier.

Revenue fell to $49.7 million compared with $51.4 million a year ago.

Amrep had previously been on track for higher revenue over the period, reporting sales of $38.5 million for the first nine months of the fiscal year compared to $31.8 million in the year-ago period.
