谷歌威胁要状告澳洲政府，辩称油管不是社交媒体
谷歌威胁，如果油管被包括在16岁以下人士社交媒体禁令里就会状告澳洲政府。
这个科技巨头发信给通信部长Anika Wells，警告说如果政府决定在改变中包括油管，那么谷歌会考虑法律行动。
这个禁令会在本年12月生效。
澳洲政府之前宣布油管不受这个规定限制。
然而，澳洲的网络安全专员Julie Inman Grant称该网站应该被包括在禁令中。因为里面的功能和特点不符合减少儿童伤害风险责任的目的。
Grant 承认这个网站有很多教育性和有用的东西。
Wells 没有对网络安全专员的要求进行回应。
如果禁令包括油管，那么16岁以下人士当然可以浏览该网站但他们不能开账号。
谷歌表示禁止油管将会限制政治自由，称这个禁令将会阻止16岁以下人士通过发表视频和做出评论来对政治披露做出贡献。
在澳洲，法定投票年龄是18岁。
谷歌还表示油管是一个发布视频平台而不是社交媒体。
政府会在未来几周公布决定还有所有平台名单。
