Sayona Mining (ASX:SYA) said that a resolution regarding the merger by Piedmont Lithium (ASX:PLL), was approved by a majority of its shareholders in a Thursday meeting, according to a same-day Australian bourse filing.
A total of 97.34% of the votes cast by the company's shareholders on the resolution were in favor, per the filing.
Shares of Piedmont rose 5% in recent Thursday trade.
