Elogen, a subsidiary of GTT - Gaztransport & Technigaz SA, has successfully delivered a 2.5 MW Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolyser for the Baseload Power Hub, associated with the Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. This project, led by CrossWind, a joint venture between Shell and Eneco, aims to integrate wind power with green hydrogen production for a more sustainable energy system. The delivery follows a successful Site Acceptance Test, confirming the electrolyser's performance and operational readiness. A 17-week commissioning phase was completed before the planned sail-away of the platform. The Baseload Power Hub will serve as a collaborative innovation hub in Eemshaven, storing surplus wind energy as green hydrogen and converting it back into electricity to help stabilize the grid and reduce carbon emissions. Eric Minaux, Managing Director of Elogen, expressed pride in contributing to the project, highlighting the team's agility and the robustness of their technology.
