Shares of ProPetro Holding slipped after the company lowered its full-year capital-expenditure guidance and posted a wider second-quarter loss.
The stock fell 14%, at $5.43, midday Wednesday and about 42% so far this year.
The oilfield-services company said it expects full-year 2025 incurred capital expenditure to be between $270 million and $310 million, down 9% from the midpoint of its prior guidance.
ProPetro posted a second-quarter net loss of $7.2 million, or 7 cents a share, compared with a loss of $3.7 million, or 3 cents a share, the year before.
The Midland, Texas, company's revenue decreased to $326.2 million compared with $357 million the year earlier. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $330.5 million.
