Honda Motor (HMC) said Wednesday that its global production fell to 287,783 units in June from 289,453 a year earlier.
Output in Japan rose to 60,804 units in June from 56,037 a year earlier, while production outside Japan dropped to 226,979 from 233,416, the automaker said.
Sales in Japan declined to 49,263 units in June from 59,246 a year earlier, while exports from Japan almost doubled to 12,012 from 6,300, the company said.
Honda shares were down over 2% in recent trading.
