Japan Post Holdings Co (TYO:6178) submitted reports to two ministries on measures to prevent a repeat of incidents involving unperformed roll calls at post offices, and on the status of universal postal service provision, according to a Thursday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The reports were filed with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in response to orders and supervisory directives under the Japan Post Co., Ltd. Act.
Japan Post Co., a wholly owned subsidiary, said it will work to restore trust by properly conducting roll calls and strengthening safety protocols for transport operations.
