DOJ says Cadence pleads guilty to resolve charges of unlawful export to China

July 28 (Reuters) - Cadence Design CDNS.O has agreed to plead guilty to resolve charges that the company unlawfully exported semiconductor design tools to a Chinese military university, the Department of Justice said on Monday.

Cadence will pay about $140 million in criminal and civil penalties and forfeiture, the DoJ said in a statement.
