Westpac Banking (ASX:WBC, NZE:WBC) said that it will fully redeem all outstanding Westpac capital notes 5 on Sept. 22, returning AU$100 per note to investors along with a final fully franked distribution of AU$1.211, according to a Thursday filing with the New Zealand and Australian bourses.
The redemption applies to holders registered by Sept. 12, with trading on the Australian Securities Exchange ending Sept. 10 and off-market transfers closing after Sept. 12, the filing said
The company said that the move is in line with the terms of the notes and does not imply future redemptions of other regulatory capital instruments, the filing added.
