Santacruz Silver Mining Ltd. has reported its production results for the second quarter of 2025, demonstrating steady performance despite challenging conditions. The company produced 3,547,054 silver equivalent ounces, including 1,423,081 ounces of silver and 21,148 tonnes of zinc. Additionally, lead and copper production amounted to 2,773 tonnes and 229 tonnes, respectively. Santacruz also achieved 11,531 meters of underground development. The overall production was affected by flooding at the Bolivar mine due to an unexpected water inflow, which temporarily exceeded the mine's pumping capacity and led to a suspension of access to high-grade silver stopes. As a result, consolidated silver equivalent production decreased by 4%, with silver ounces declining by 11% from Q1 to Q2 2025. However, the San Lucas Group played a crucial role in maintaining production levels by compensating for the slower output from the Bolivar mine. Comparing Q2 2025 to Q2 2024, Santacruz experienced an 8% decrease in silver equivalent production and a 12% reduction in silver output. Zinc production fell by 7% due to lower head grades, though the San Lucas Group preserved margins through flexible sourcing. Despite these challenges, the company's robust performance highlights its operational resilience and strategic adaptability in the face of unexpected events.
