J.K. Cement (NSE:JKCEMENT, BOM:532644) has begun commercial production and dispatch of Portland calcined clay limestone cement (LC-3) at its unit JK Cement Works in the Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan, India, according to a Wednesday filing to the Indian bourses.
The LC-3 is aimed at catering to infrastructure projects in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and other states of India. Its launch is expected to benefit the company financially in the long run.
The company's shares were up over 1% in recent trade.
