网页浏览器Opera向巴西反垄断机构CADE对微软提出诉讼，指控微软的Edge浏览器有不公平的优势。于2007年12月， Opera向欧盟委员会投诉微软，指控后者将Internet Explorer浏览器与Windows作业系统捆绑销售，最终欧盟向微软罚款5.61亿欧元。Opera总法律顾问Aaron McParlan最新表示，微软处处阻挠Windows上的浏览器市场竞争，Opera等浏览器未能除Windows作业系统预装机，同时微软亦阻止用户下载及使用其他浏览器的能力。
