美国财政部长斯科特・贝森特（Scott Bessent）周四表示，他正在整理一份潜在的美联储领导层候选人名单，预计年底前会公布相关任命。

　　贝森特在接受 CNBC 采访时称：“我们正在拟定一份非常优秀的候选人名单，以接替美联储主席杰罗姆・鲍威尔（Jerome Powell）的职位，同时填补美联储理事会即将出现的另一个空缺席位。”

　　鲍威尔的主席任期将于明年 5 月结束。

　　美联储一直面临来自美国总统唐纳德・特朗普的持续且频繁的降息压力。特朗普称，多项因素都证明大幅降息是合理的，而他的部分批评聚焦于政府为填补巨额赤字而发行债券时面临的高额利息成本。

　　“因此，将有两个席位出现空缺。我正在整理一份名单，供总统和白宫办公厅主任审阅。我们会对候选人进行面试。所以，我预计年底前可能会公布相关任命，” 他说。
