European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were declining on Thursday morning, down 1.1% to 1,447.92 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.
From continental Europe, the gainers were led by biotech firm Argenx (ARGX) and pharmaceutical company Pharming (PHAR), which rose 13% and 9.2% respectively.
They were followed by financial services company BBVA (BBVA), which was adding 7.4%.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by beverage giant Anheuser-Busch Inbev (BUD) and pharmaceutical and healthcare company Sanofi (SNY), which fell 11% and 7.6% respectively.
They were followed by pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk (NVO), which was shedding 3.4%.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by cryptocurrency miner Argo Blockchain (ARBK) and pest control services company Rentokil Initial (RTO), which rose 13% and 9.4% respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by semiconductor company Arm (ARM) and biopharmaceutical company Adaptimmune Therapeutics (ADAP), which lost 12% and 9.8% respectively.
