Pantoro Gold (ASX:PNR) said that ongoing infill and extensional drilling on the O2 orebody, part of its Norseman gold project in Western Australia, confirmed the continuation of high-grade mineralization beneath the current Star of Erin mineral resource, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing
The results also support the continuity of the orebody both down dip and along strike, particularly on the northwestern end, per the filing.
Drilling at the OK underground mine, where the orebody is located, is part of an ongoing program to infill and extend the depth and strike of defined mineralization in the Star of Erin and O2 lodes, below the current mineral resource.
The program hit intercepts of 5.9 meters at 34.5 grams per tonne grade of gold from 102.8 meters, as well as 6.3 meters at 10.1 grams per tonne grade of gold from 200.2 meters.
Pantoro Gold's shares jumped nearly 3% in recent trading on Wednesday.
