目前美国仍以约 780 万枚 BTC 的持有量（占总供应量 40%）稳居榜首，这些资产涵盖机构投资者、上市公司（如 MicroStrategy）及执法部门扣押的比特币。而印度持有的比特币总价值约在 1150 亿至 1200 亿美元之间，这一成绩是在严峻政策环境下取得的——印度对加密收益征收 30% 资本利得税，并对每笔交易课征 1% 源头税（TDS），这些措施本应抑制高频大额交易，但当地投资者对比特币的热情依然高涨。
该估算并非基于政府披露，而是通过链上分析、交易所数据及行业研判得出。印度交易平台 CoinDCX 联合创始人 Sumit Gupta 指出，持有量激增主要源于印度庞大的技术型散户群体：“即使在政策限制下，印度用户仍在大量购入并持有比特币。若监管环境改善，增长空间将不可限量。”
