0826 GMT - Shares in insurer AXA fall as much as 7% before paring back some losses after the stronger euro ate into the French group's earnings. The stock is the worst performer of the Stoxx 600 insurance index. Keefe, Bruyette & Woods analyst William Hawkins notes that the headline earnings miss against consensus stands out and is primarily driven by foreign exchange. "We should know this already. It is more prominent in our minds as a 5% headwind to future earnings growth than we thought previously," he writes in a research note. (elena.vardon@wsj.com)
