8月3日，博主SugarDesign发布了仰望U7 GT的低伪装谍照。

照片显示，比亚迪仰望U7 GT跨界车设计流畅动感，配备分段式扰流板和贯穿式尾灯，原本可能是最接近小米YU7的车型，技术性能更强，但价格估计是YU7的两倍。

然而，该博主称这款车项目已流产，原本应与YU7同期甚至更早亮相。此前有消息称，比亚迪仰望U7 GT的姊妹车型YU7由小米汽车研发，而比亚迪的产品发布变动可能不仅限于仰望汽车，旗下的腾势N8L车型发布节奏也遭遇了推迟。
