BUZZ-HK-listed SMIC falls most in 4 months on second-quarter profit miss
** Shares of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp 0981.HK (SMIC) fall 6% to HK$49.8, their biggest intraday pct drop since April 7
** Stock hits its lowest since August 4, and on track to snap two straight session of gains, if losses hold
** SMIC is top pct loser on Hang Seng Tech Index .HSTECH and Hang Seng Commerce & Industry Index .HSNC, which are down 1.2% and 0.7%, respectively
** SMIC, China's largest contract chipmaker, reported on Thursday a 19.5% year-on-year decline in second-quarter profit to $132.5 million, missing analysts' estimates of $183.35 million
** The benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI slips 0.8%
** YTD, stock up 58.3%
