Palantir (PLTR): The data-software company's stock rose 5% premarket after it posted higher quarterly profit and revenue. It also boosted its annual outlook.
Vertex Pharmaceuticals (VRTX): The biotechnology company said it wouldn't proceed with advanced testing of an experimental painkiller. Vertex stock slid off-hours.
BP $(BP)$: The energy company said a measure of profitability rose in the latest quarter and pledged more cost cuts. Shares rose in London.
Diageo (UK:DGE), $(DEO)$: The parent of Guinness reported better-than-expected results for the latest quarter, though it now expects a larger, $200 million annual hit from tariffs. Shares climbed 6% in London.
Caterpillar $(CAT.AU)$ and Pfizer $(PFE.AU)$ are set to report results before the opening bell.
Results from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Super Micro Computer $(SMCI)$, and Snap (SNAP) are due after markets close.
