StoneX forecasts US 2025 corn yield at 188.1 bushels per acre

CHICAGO, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Commodity brokerage StoneX on Monday projected U.S. 2025 corn production at 16.323 billion bushels, with an average yield of 188.1 bushels per acre (bpa).

StoneX also forecast this year's U.S. soybean harvest at 4.425 billion bushels, with an average yield of 53.6 bpa.

The forecasts were above the U.S. Department of Agriculture's latest corn harvest projection for a 15.705-billion-bushel crop with an average yield of 181 bpa, and its outlook for a soybean crop of 4.335 billion bushels with an average yield of 52.5 bpa.

USDA will update its forecasts on August 12.
