Lending Tree's Resilience Shows Strong Fundamentals -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Aug 05

1202 ET - Lending Tree's double-digit growth in all of its segments in 2Q is impressive amid headwinds stemming from an uncertain rate environment and lower traffic from Google searches due to increasing use of AI chatbots, Truist analysts say. Those headwinds could start to turn to tailwinds as interest rates lower, the insurance industry continues its recovery and AI chat bots direct more traffic to Lending Tree's site, which the company expects. Meanwhile, the economic environment continues to stabilize, supporting Lending Tree's strong 3Q outlook. Truist raises its price valuation to $62 from $60. Shares rise 2.4% to $50.64.
