Besunyen (HKG:0926) reported 12.4 million yuan in attributable profit for the six months ended June 30, a rise from 7.8 million yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Tuesday.
Shares of the tea seller jumped nearly 20% in recent Wednesday trade.
Earnings per share came in at 0.1014 yuan, compared with 0.0639 yuan in the year-ago period.
The company generated 258.9 million yuan in sales during the first six months of the year, rising slightly from 254.3 million yuan previously.
Meanwhile, the company declared an interim dividend of HK$0.15 per share, payable Sept. 12 to shareholders of record on Aug. 19.
