APA Group's, Origin Energy's, Amplitude Energy's Maiden Guidance Expected to Draw Attention in August Reporting Season, Jarden Says

The maiden guidance for APA Group (ASX:APA), Origin Energy (ASX:ORG), and Amplitude Energy (ASX:AEL) are expected to draw attention in the August reporting season., as well as on likely revised guidance for Karoon Energy (ASX:KAR), with APA's underlying earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) likely to be in a tight range, Jarden said in a note on Friday.

The investment firm said that it was looking out for a confirmation of 80% dividend payout ratio from Woodside Energy Group (ASX:WDS), updates on its Louisiana LNG sell-down process, and an updated timeline and schedule for the Beaumont project in Texas, the Scarborough project in Western Australia, and the Trion project in Mexico. It is also awaiting the firm's plans for additional development at the Sangomar field in Senegal and drilling plans for Bass Strait after taking over operatorship in 2026.

It recommended an "overweight" rating for Woodside and set a price target of AU$25.75.

The due diligence period for XRG consortium's proposed bid for Santos (ASX:STO) finishes on Friday, and the proposed bid is expected to dominate investor conversations around the firm's results.

The investment firm recommended an "overweight" rating for Santos and set a price target of AU$8.40.

Jarden forecasts fiscal year 2026 Energy Markets guidance for Origin Energy of AU$1.60 billion underlying EBITDA, 9% higher than the fiscal 2025 forecast, driven in part by higher gas and electricity gross profits. It also forecast capital expenditure of AU$1.1 billion in fiscal 2026.

It recommended a "neutral" rating for Origin Energy and set a price target of AU$11.30.

APA Group's fiscal 2026 EBITDA is forecast to be AU$2.20 billion, also 9% higher than the fiscal year 2025 forecast underlying EBITDA of AU$2.01 billion, driven in part by higher east coast gas grid earnings.

The investment firm recommended an "overweight" rating for APA and set a price target of AU$8.90.

Karoon Energy's Brazil 2025 production guidance range is expected to increase, currently between 6.7 million barrels of oil and 7.7 million barrels of oil, given output is trending towards 8.2million barrels of oil for the year.

Jarden recommended an "overweight" rating for Karoon and set a price target of AU$2.15.

Amplitude Energy's fiscal year 2026 production guidance is expected to be close to the investment firm's estimate of 4.4 million barrels of oil-equivalent. Jarden added that it is awaiting updates to cost and schedule for the East Coast Supply project and timing for increasing nameplate capacity at the Orbost gas processing plant in Victoria.

It recommended a "buy" rating for Amplitude Energy and set a price target of AU$0.29.
