Cushman & Wakefield plc, a global commercial real estate services firm, has announced updated science-based targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The firm aims to decrease absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 73.1% by 2034 and has introduced a new intensity-based target for Scope 3 emissions, aiming for a 66.3% reduction per square foot of managed client properties. These targets reflect an increased ambition following prior goals and align with the global effort to mitigate climate change. The company plans to report annually on its progress through its Sustainability Report and other disclosures. Additionally, Cushman & Wakefield maintains its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2050.
