Meta旗下实时通讯软件WhatsApp表示，会推出新安全概览功能，当用户被非联络人加入新群组时，系统将先显示安全概览，助用户掌握群组信息与安全提示，在不查看对话内容下可立即退出群组。此外，WhatsApp正计划扩展说明卡功能。当用户与非联络人展开对话时，系统将主动显示对方的背景信息，协助用户在对话初期掌握更多信息，提升辨识诈骗的能力。 WhatsApp表示，平台积极打击主要在东南亚地区、由有组织犯罪操控并涉及强迫外劳的诈骗集团。今年上半年，WhatsApp与Meta的安全团队已侦测并封锁超过680万个与诈骗集团相关的账户。
