0737 GMT - DBS's growth should be sustainable in the medium term, Maybank IB's Thilan Wickramasinghe says in a note. The Singapore lender generated above-market-trend growth across all pillars in 2Q, which he expects to be supported by DBS's scale and strong management execution. DBS says it can raise base dividends while rolling out its capital returns program until 2027, which provides yield clarity, he adds. He expects DBS's early deployment of artificial intelligence and new verticals such as digital assets to further consolidate its lead over rivals. He raises his 2025-2027 earnings forecasts by 5%-11%, based on his more positive operational assumptions. Maybank IB lifts its rating to buy from hold and raises its target to S$56.15 from S$45.26. Shares are 1.4% higher at S$50.45. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
