Manulife Financial (MFC) reported fiscal Q2 core net income late Wednesday of 0.95 Canadian dollars ($0.69) per diluted share, up from CA$0.91 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected CA$0.97.
Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was CA$15.64 billion, up from CA$12.88 billion a year earlier.
Analyst estimates for total revenue was not available.
