Lindian Resources (ASX:LIN) said that legal proceedings brought against it in the High Court of Malawi by Deep Blue Sea have been fully dismissed, with no liability or settlement imposed on the company, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The claim was filed against the company on Oct. 16, 2024, alleging entitlement to introduction fees and rights related to the company's 2018 discussions to acquire an interest in Rift Valley Resources, the filing said.
The court awarded the company full legal costs, clearing uncertainty and allowing it to focus on advancing the Kangankunde rare earths project in Malawi, the filing added.
