Hero MotoCorp's Consolidated Profit Rises in Fiscal Q1

Hero MotoCorp's (NSE:HEROMOTOCO, BOM:500182) consolidated attributable profit rose to 17.1 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 against 10.5 billion rupees a year ago.

Earnings per share came in at 85.17 rupees compared with 52.21 rupees a year earlier, the two-wheeler manufacturer said in a post-market hours filing to the Indian bourses on Wednesday.

Revenue from operations in fiscal Q1, however, fell to 97.3 billion rupees from 102.1 billion rupees a year earlier.
