BUZZ-ASX-listed Pointsbet rises on backing sweetened MIXI Australia bid
** Pointsbet Holdings PBH.AX gains 3.7% to A$1.255, highest since January 2022
** Stock marks steepest intraday pct gain since July 30
** Co recommends shareholders to accept MIXI Australia's sweetened takeover offer of A$1.25/share, valuing co at A$421 mln ($274.7 mln)
** MIXI says bid "unconditional"; currently holds 28.2% stake in co
** Pointsbet warns shareholders that offer "best and final", though MIXI may increase bid if it crosses 50% ownership in co
** YTD, PBH gains 25.5%
