消息面上，美国总统特朗普当地时间8月8日发文称，将与俄罗斯总统普京于8月15日在阿拉斯加州举行会晤。早在今年2月，俄罗斯总统普京就曾表示，若美国取消对俄罗斯金属进口制裁，俄罗斯愿意恢复对美出口约200万吨铝。紫金天风期货曾表示，对俄制裁的主体由欧盟、英国以及美国组成，相比于美国，欧盟在俄乌冲突的事件中存在着更将强烈的安全焦虑，不认为欧盟对俄的态度会出现快速的扭转。
开源证券此前发布研报称，俄罗斯是全球第三大原铝生产国，其产量主要由俄铝贡献，2023年俄铝原铝产量达384.7万吨，伴随Taishet产能的爬坡，预计2024年俄铝原铝产量将达到390万吨，预计供应全球5%的铝产量。而美国是全球第二大铝消费国，恢复出口后俄铝可享受稳定订单。
